About the Founder

Darlyn C. Turner: A Heart for Widows

My name is Darlyn C. Turner, and I founded The National Widows Association (NWA) in 2019 after experiencing the profound loss of my husband of 21 years. This personal journey opened my eyes to the severe emotional and financial challenges widows face, challenges often overlooked by society.

Driven by a deep calling, I established NWA to provide the support and resources I found lacking during my own difficult time. Our organization offers financial assistance, emotional support, and advocacy, ensuring that no widow has to navigate this journey alone.

Through initiatives like our Financial Seminars and my book “The Widow's Might”, which offers spiritual guidance, we strive to empower widows and build a strong, supportive community. I am committed to making a difference, helping widows find strength, purpose, and a renewed sense of hope.
